About Peak Waste

Part of the Beauparc Group, Peak Waste is a leading waste management solutions provider based in Ashbourne (DE6 1JF). We specialise in sustainable resource recovery and circular economy practices. We’re currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Ashbourne team and play a vital role in our trade waste collections.

 

The Role

Operating from our Ashbourne depot, you’ll safely and efficiently collect and transport trade waste using our modern HGV fleet. Enjoy consistent Monday–Friday shifts with early starts around 5am.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for trade waste collections.
  • Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring sites are tidy and bins correctly positioned.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects (DVSA compliant).
  • Maintain accurate digital records via tablet for waste transfer documentation.
  • Adhere to waste duty of care regulations, drivers’ hours, and health/safety standards.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence + current Driver CPC.
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • Experience in waste sector operations (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
  • Customer-focused communication skills.
  • Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

  • Plus: £25 attendance allowance + £25 walk round check.
