About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Baler Operative to join our team on a designated 12-hour shift pattern. This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth of our business, and we’re offering competitive rates based on experience for the right candidate.

As a Baler Operative, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and basic maintenance of baler machinery, including the CK Twin Ram Baler or similar equipment. Your role is vital in compressing recyclable materials to specification, contributing directly to our mission of efficient recycling and environmental responsibility.

Key accountabilities:

  • Operate and monitor baler equipment to produce compact, quality bales.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery; report issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records.
  • Follow all site Health & Safety procedures and report any incidents or concerns.
  • Ensure bales meet company and quality standards.
Experience and Skills:

  • Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and proactive
  • English literacy – Level 1 or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Experience with CK Twin Ram Baler or similar equipment (advantageous)
  • Basic engineering knowledge (desirable)
  • Background in agriculture or similar hands-on environments (desirable)
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and upskill
  • Solid understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance
  • Comfortable working at height
  • Mobile Plant Licences – Forklift, Telehandler, or Loading Shovel (desirable)
